At the 2025 AUSVEG National Awards for Excellence, Peter Wadewitz OAM was announced as the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award, recognising more than 50 years of dedication to the organics, agriculture, and recycling industries.
From founding Peats Soil & Garden Supplies in 1973 to becoming a champion for the circular economy, Peter’s work has transformed waste into resource and helped shape a more sustainable future.
While the award bears Peter’s name, he shares this milestone with every individual who has been part of the Peats journey—family, staff, and supporters across the decades.
