This role is about supporting our people, improving systems, and keeping safety simple, practical and effective — not policing.
About the Role
Based at our Brinkley Depot, you will work closely with management, supervisors and staff to help maintain and improve our WHS systems while supporting safe, efficient day-to-day operations.
You will play an important role in helping the business stay organised, compliant and proactive, while building strong working relationships across all levels of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and continue development of our WHS Management System
- Conduct practical site inspections and risk assessments
- Assist with incident reviews and follow-up actions
- Maintain safety records, registers and documentation
- Coordinate toolbox talks and support safety meetings
- Assist with staff inductions, training and competency tracking
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and staff to improve safe work practices
- Help maintain a positive, practical and team-based safety culture
About You
- We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in WHS within an operational or industrial environment
- Practical, approachable and able to build trust with staff
- Organised and confident managing systems and documentation
- Solutions-focused with a calm, common-sense approach
- Comfortable working independently while supporting the wider team
Qualifications / Experience
- WHS qualification – Certificate IV or above
- Experience working with WHS systems and compliance
- Understanding of risk management and workplace safety
- Experience in transport, manufacturing, recycling, agriculture or similar industries highly regarded
