Peats Soil - Organic recycling, the Green story: Peats Soil have a goal to recycle products and are proud to be leading the field in the development of organic farm and garden products. Recycled green organics are blended with other organic ingredients and composted to produce rich mulches and soil conditioners which are ideal nutrient and humic acid sources. These products are ideal for use in landscaping, horticulture, agriculture, forestry, highways, land regeneration and home gardens. The composting process takes the material through a thermophilic stage killing all plant pathogens and nutrient immobilisers, therefore allowing the release of trace elements and macro nutrients. It then goes through a mesophilic stage, stabilising the composition, trapping organics and nutrients within the mix. This gives the material its nitrogen balanced properties. These are a mix of soluble forms of nitrogen and trapped, or immobilised, forms of nitrogen. This reduces leaching and supplies a steady stream of nitrogen as trapped nitrogen is released. All composting is carried out according to the Composting Best Practice Report as handed down by the Waste Management Association of Australia. All composting operations on our site at Willunga are covered by licence from the Environmental Protection Authority. |
